A Bible study app for people who want to read Scripture in its original languages — without a seminary degree.
Our mission
English translations are a gift, but they hide things. The Greek word for repentance is not about self-hatred. The Hebrew word for fear is not always about being afraid. The single word epithumia shows up as "lust" in Matthew 5 and "covet" in the Tenth Commandment — and that connection changes how you read both.
Sola exists to make that kind of insight accessible to anyone with a phone. We are building a Bible study app that surfaces Greek and Hebrew word studies, context, and connections that English alone cannot show.
Why we write
Most Christian content online is shallow. We write long-form biblical word studies because we have not found enough places that treat readers like adults capable of engaging with original languages. Every post on this site cites the Greek or Hebrew it is built on, links to the verses in context, and tries to say something a generic study Bible footnote will not.
