Jehu did a lot of violent things, yet God says he did 'what is right in my eyes.' How can that be?
God’s perspective on our actions isn't always about how we do things, but what we do and why. Jehu was tasked with a brutal but necessary job: eradicating the idolatry of Ahab's family. Even though his methods were harsh, his goal aligned with God's heart for Israel – to purify His people from wicked influence.
The 'Why' Matters
God isn't interested in blind obedience. He looks for a heart that understands His will and acts upon it, even when it’s difficult and messy. Jehu’s actions, though extreme, were a direct response to God’s command and a necessary step to correct deep-seated rebellion.
