The verse highlights God's direct intervention, not just passively watching, but actively disabling the enemy's strength – the horses and their riders – through supernatural "astonishment," "madness," and "blindness." This powerful imagery reveals that God's protection for Judah isn't just about shielding them, but about turning the enemy's own formidable power against them in utter confusion.
On that day, declares the LORD, I will strike every horse with panic, and its rider with madness. But for the sake of the house of Judah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

Ever feel like your enemies are just… confused? Like they can't quite get their act together to harm you? God has a way of doing that.
Zechariah describes a future day when God will directly intervene against those who threaten His people. He won't use conventional warfare, but rather supernatural confusion:
This isn't about the enemy's lack of planning; it's about God actively disabling their capacity to attack. It highlights that human strength and strategy are no match for divine power when God decides to protect His own.
When the world feels chaotic and dangerous, where do you find true security? It's not in fortifications, but in the gaze of the One who never sleeps.
While God is disabling the enemy, His attention is fixed on His faithful people:
