God's work requires all kinds of resources, not just gold and jewels. This passage shows how everyone had a part to play.
The list of contributions in the surrounding verses (Exodus 35:22-29) is incredibly diverse. We see gold, silver, and precious stones from the wealthy and rulers. But we also see fine linen, goats' hair, and spun yarn from women, and shittim wood from others. Even those with limited means could contribute, and their willing hearts made their offerings as valuable to God as the richest gifts. The key wasn't the quantity or monetary value, but the willingness of the heart and the spirit behind the gift. God's work is built by the combined, cheerful efforts of all His people, using the gifts and resources He has given them.
