God lays out His expectations for His people. But what does it really mean to 'walk in statutes,' 'keep commandments,' and 'do them'?
Leviticus 26:3 presents a three-part call to obedience:
1. Walking in Statutes:
This refers to living one's life according to God's divine order and principles. It's about aligning your entire journey and daily conduct with His revealed ways. Think of it as a continuous, intentional journey guided by His wisdom.
2. Keeping Commandments:
This goes beyond just knowing the rules; it's about actively treasuring and preserving them. It implies a commitment to hold God's commands in high regard, protecting them from neglect or distortion.
3. Doing Them:
This is the action step. It's about putting God's Word into practice. True obedience isn't passive; it's demonstrated through concrete actions and a life lived out in accordance with His will.
