Why did Jesus seem unfazed by the danger? He wasn't ignoring it, but rather operating by a different clock.
Jesus uses a simple, everyday image: the twelve hours of a day. Just like a traveler can safely navigate during daylight because they can see, Jesus explains that He has a specific, God-appointed time to complete His work on earth. It's still 'daytime' for Him, meaning His 'hour' hasn't fully come yet. This isn't about ignoring danger, but about understanding that His mission has a divine timeline that He is precisely following. His safety isn't determined by human threats, but by fulfilling God's schedule.
