When we're lost, scattered, or feeling abandoned, what does it mean that God promises to 'be found'? It's not about us finding Him first.
This verse starts with a powerful declaration: 'I will be found by you.' This isn't a conditional promise, like 'If you seek me, I might be found.' Instead, it's God's unilateral initiative. Even when His people were exiled, scattered, and seemingly forgotten, God declares He will make Himself known to them. This means God actively steps into our lostness. He doesn't wait for us to perfectly orchestrate a search party; He initiates the encounter, revealing His presence and faithfulness even in the darkest times.
