What's easy to miss here is that God isn't just stating a future fact; He’s making an unbreakable oath. By swearing by Himself, God is using the highest possible assurance, confirming that this promise of universal allegiance is not merely a prediction but an absolute certainty, as sure as His own existence. This profound commitment underscores the ultimate destiny of His creation to acknowledge Him.
By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.’ “Only in the LORD, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him. In the LORD all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall glory.”
