The rain soaks in, but what's the point? It's not just for the land itself.
The verse continues, describing land that 'produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated.' This is crucial! The purpose of the rain soaking in is fruitfulness, and that fruitfulness is for others.
God's intention in blessing us with His grace isn't for us to hoard it or keep it to ourselves. He equips us, nourishes us, and refines us so that we can be a source of good for the world around us – for our families, our communities, and for His kingdom. When our lives, nourished by God's grace, yield good 'crops,' it benefits those who are meant to tend to that growth and ultimately blesses the entire landscape.
