The Israelites were staring down giants – literally! Cities fortified to the sky, people of immense stature. It's easy to see why fear would grip their hearts. But Moses reminds them of a crucial truth.
Don't Let Giants Dictate Your Dread
When the people heard the spies' terrifying report of the Anakim – their size, their cities – their hearts sank. They saw insurmountable obstacles.
Moses' response is direct: “Dread not, neither be afraid of them.” This isn't just a pep talk; it's a theological declaration.
It’s easy for us to look at our own struggles – big career challenges, overwhelming relational problems, or daunting personal goals – and feel the same dread. But God's Word calls us to shift our focus. Our fear often stems from what we see, while God’s commands come from what He promises and will do.
