Sometimes, life throws us a curveball, and we miss a deadline. When it comes to our spiritual lives, does that mean the opportunity is lost forever?
When the First Try Fails
King Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem faced a significant challenge: they had missed the appointed time for Passover. The Law was clear – Passover was to be celebrated in the first month (Leviticus 23:5). But life, and perhaps neglect, got in the way. Instead of giving up, they made a bold decision.
They chose to celebrate it in the second month. This wasn't a casual change; it required royal decree and a unified decision by the leaders and the entire assembly. It shows a profound commitment to God's commands, even when they couldn't meet the original timing.
