Leading Others Astray
God's accusation against Ahab is twofold: Ahab provoked God's anger, and he made Israel to sin. This second part is crucial. As king, Ahab had a position of authority and responsibility. His actions, particularly his willingness to steal and murder for Naboth's vineyard under Jezebel's influence, set a terrible example for the entire nation.
